I think we all know by now that trends aren't really my thing. If I jump on a trend, it is usually way late to the point that it is no longer a trend, but rather something I can see sticking around for a while. Exhibit A: The neck scarf.
I have two rules of thumb when it comes to trying a trend: buy cheap, and stay (somewhat) within your comfort zone. I found this one at Anthropologie a few months back and was under $30. I figured, "hey, if I don't ever wear it around my neck again, I sure as heck will tie it onto a handbag" so I went ahead and purchased it.
Another thing I take into account is staying true to my personal style. I remember buying a hot pink romper in college because I wanted to try the romper trend. But y'all, brights are so not my thing, (maybe, but definitely in small doses) so away it went to the donations pile after a handful of wears.

I felt that this neck scarf added a bit of an edge to an otherwise plain outfit, and the neutral colors stayed right within a comfortable color palette. Are there any trends you are trying right now? I would love to know what they are!

I love this top! I haven't tried this trend either, but you are totally rocking it!

Love this trend — you can pull off the necktie so well! And, always, hair game on point.
